And if it's right before bed, a cup of this warm and lightly sweetened vanilla milk is all I want. If you don't like regular milk, try this easy recipe for a delicious cup of milk that you'll enjoy.

Drinking warm milk at night before bed results in relaxation and easy sleep. Vanilla is known to reduce stress and anxiety and together with milk, this would make the perfect drink to have before bed for a quality sleep.
Ingredients
To make this lightly sweetened warm milk, you need the following ingredients:
- Milk: I like using whole milk, but 2% or 1% milk would work as well. You can also use unsweetened non-dairy milk such as almond milk for this recipe.
- Vanilla: High quality vanilla extract adds such a nice flavor and aroma to the milk.
- Sugar: The amount of sugar depends on how sweet you like your drink to be. I usually start with one teaspoon sugar per one cup of milk.
How to make vanilla milk
Pour the milk in a small sauce pan and add sugar. Heat over medium low heat until heated through and the sugar has dissolved completely. Add vanilla extract and heat for one more minute. Pour the milk into cups and serve immediately.

Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk see notes
- 2 teaspoon sugar

Instructions
- Place the milk and sugar in a small sauce pan and place over medium low heat.

- Add in the vanilla extract and heat for another minute.
- Divide between two cups and serve.
Notes
