Homemade Raspberry Syrup

A jar of homemade raspberry syrup can go a long way! It's sweet and tart, with just the right amount of sweetness. Bonus point, it's so easy to make!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups raspberries fresh or frozen
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions
 

  • Blend the raspberries, sugar and water in a blender until smooth. Transfer to a saucepan.
  • Place the saucepan on medium heat and bring to a low simmer. Simmer for about 5 to 10 minutes until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • Turn the heat off and cover the saucepan. Let it sit for one hour.
  • Strain the syrup and discard the seeds. Transfer the syrup to a jar and refrigerate.

Notes

  • You can use brown sugar, honey or other sweeteners for this recipe. 
  • It's best to use the syrup within one week. 
  • You can drizzle raspberry syrup on pancakes, waffles or ice cream. Also, you can add it as  sweetener to iced green tea.
