Homemade Peach Lemonade Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 5 peaches
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 6 cups water
  • ½ cup lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Chop the peaches into chunks (no need to peel them) and place them in a sauce pan with the sugar and one cup of water.
  • Cover and bring to simmer. Cook for about 15 minutes until the peaches fall apart.
  • Let the mix cool slightly and then blend it in a blender for a minute until smooth.
  • Press it through a mesh strainer. Save the peach syrup and discard the solids.
  • Pour the peach syrup into a pitcher and stir in the lemon juice and remaining 5 cups of water.
  • Serve the peach lemonade in glasses over ice. You can add peach slices or chunks to the glasses if desired.

Notes

  • Fresh peaches work best for this recipe. 
  • Make sure to use fresh lemon and not the concentrate or bottled lemon juice.
