Milk tea is a creamy, tasty and comforting drink made with just a few ingredients. Learn how to make this simple drink at home in no time.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup water
  • 3 tsp loose leaf black tea such as Ceylon
  • 2 tsp honey
  • ½ cup whole milk preferably warm
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon optional

Instructions
 

  • Bring the water to boil. Place the tea in the teapot.
  • Pour water over the tea and cover. Let it steep for 5-7 minutes.
  • Strain the tea leaves and pour the tea into two cups.
  • Stir in the honey and add milk.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

  • It's best to use filtered water for this recipe. 
  • You can also use 2% milk or dairy free milk. 
  • If loose leaf tea isn't available use 2 teabags for this recipe. 
  • Instead of honey, you can use other sweeteners such as brown sugar, maple syrup or stevia.
