Easy Hot Vanilla Milk Recipe

Make hot vanilla milk at home in less than 5 minutes with just three ingredients. This is a comforting drink that's perfect for cold days.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups whole milk see notes
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Place the milk and sugar in a small sauce pan and place over medium low heat.
  • Heat until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add in the vanilla extract and heat for another minute.
  • Divide between two cups and serve.

Notes

  • Use 2% or 1% milk instead of whole milk if you prefer. 
  • For non dairy and vegan option use unsweetened non dairy milk such as almond milk. 
  • As for the sweetener, I start with one teaspoon of sugar for one cup of milk. Taste and add more sugar if needed.
