Lavender simple syrup is easy to make and has many uses. Mix this floral syrup with your iced tea, coffee, or even water for simple refreshment.

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoon dried lavender buds see notes
Place the water, sugar and lavender buds in a sauce pan.
Bring to a low simmer and cook until sugar is dissolved and the syrup is thickening. About 15 to 20 minutes.
Turn the heat off and let the lavender steep for one hour in the syrup.
Pour the syrup through a mesh strainer and discard the lavender buds.
- Make sure the lavender you're using is edible and labeled "culinary lavender" or "safe to eat".
- Store lavender simple syrup in a clean glass jar and refrigerate for up to 2 months.
